Marissa Trotter

Madelyn Trotter, a 15 year old sophomore, is a very artistically-oriented person. Coming from a long line of journalists, she joined the news staff at our school after her father instilled the idea in her, informing her that the pursuit of facts is in her DNA. Journalism isn’t her only talent, however, numbering just one among her many artistic passions, the others including photography and instruments, such as drums, guitar, ukulele, and piano. Expanding upon the initial topic, though, journalism isn’t the only type of writing you’ll find this cool cat doing. Save argumentative writing, any form of the english language is at her mercy. When asked about her writing process, she took a very minimalist approach, stating that “you just get a pen or pencil and put some words on paper.”
