Brandon McGraw, a 33 year old Gunnery Sgt. was pronounced dead during the weekend when a skydiving accident occurred. This devastating accident occurred in Australia when his wife won this opportunity on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. EMT’s found him dead after complications during the jump led to a horrible crash landing. Currently, police are still investigating what may have caused his jump and landing to go so haywire. Ian Matthews, an employee at Skydive Euroa where McGraw and his wife had skydived from, told the Jacksonville Daily News that the Marine was an experienced skydiver with more than “a few jumps under his belt.” McGraw’s wife won this Australian getaway in January 2013 during a contest called, “Stuff Your Down Under Pants” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. DeGeneres states, “I’ve been speaking with Cherilyn, and my staff has been in touch with her as well. She’s asked us to keep this private as she tries to deal with this unimaginable tragedy. I hope everyone respects that.” Prayers go out to Cherilyn and the McGraw family.
