Chess Club

One of the most respected board games is chess. This game, which is technically a war game, takes strategy, patience, and the intelligence to think a few steps ahead of your opponent. It can be a fun game to play, but it can also be intimidating to begin playing it. The best way to learn it is with a friend, or maybe a club. Thankfully, we have a chess club here at Lake City. The club meets every Thursday from 2:30-3:45 in the library.
Knowing how to play chess comes with prestige, and people tend to think you’re smarter when you know how to play it, even though it’s just the memorization of rules and stratagem. If you want to learn how to play, or if you already know how to play, join the Chess Club! Contact Mr. Edmonds about any questions you may have.
