Super Bowl food Statistics

Sometimes it’s hard to realize how big of an event the Super Bowl is until some statistics are seen. One of the most insane statistics about the Super Bowl is the food that is consumed.  First is the chips. 11.2 million pounds of potato chips and 8 million pounds of tortilla chips are consumed on Super Sunday. And what would chips be without over 20 million pounds of dip? Pizza delivery workers have to be on the double about the 11 million pieces of pizza that are needed. Don’t forget the pretzels, because America needs 4.3 million pounds of those. The most consumed food on Super Bowl Sunday is chicken wings, with a mind boggling 1.23 billion chicken wings in America alone. For America, Super Sunday is the day where the second most food is consumed after Thanksgiving. That alone should make it a holiday.
