Writing Competition

Coeur d’Alene Public Library is having a fiction/nonfiction writing contest! No poetry is allowed and there is a limit of 2,000 words. The deadline is March 31st, and you may submit up to two entries, in whatever combination of fiction and/or nonfiction that you want. Out of all of these, you will be judged in age groups; 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-18, then ages 19 and up will be judged by professional writers, editors, and educators. Ages 6-11 have a fee of $1 and ages 12 and up have a fee of $2 per entry. The cash prizes range from $25-$100. There will be a professionally bound book containing all entries in the competition, that will be placed in the libraries’ collection.
