Stand Up To Teen Dating Violence

We all know that violence exists, but how aware are we of the different types of violence. February is national Teen Violence Awareness Month. Teen dating violence is a huge issue, statistics show that more than 1.5 million high school students are abused every year by a single partner. One in three young adults are a victim of physical, sexual, or verbal abuse from a dating partner. This is why The North Idaho Violence Prevention Center is encouraging community members to participate in raising awareness for teen dating violence. Yesterday, February 11th, people everywhere dressed in orange to help with this cause. Help our community out and Stand Up To Teen Dating Violence. Also, if you or someone you know is going through this, do not be afraid to get help. Here in Coeur D’ Alene our Violence Prevention Center would be happy to help. Their phone number is (208) 664-9303.
