Hot Pockets Recalled!?

The USDA has recalled more than 8.7 million pounds of meat from Rancho Feeding Corporation because it “processed diseased and unsound animals and carried out these activities without the benefit of full benefit of federal inspection.” Nestle did not purchase meat directly from Ranchero, but has confirmed a small quantity of meat from Rancho used at Nestle’s Chatsworth, California production operation, which is a facility entirely devoted to Hot Pockets brand sandwiches. Two brands of Hot Pockets have been officially recalled and are off the shelves nationwide. The two products are Hot Pockets: Philly Steak and Cheese in three different pack sizes, and Hot Pockets: Croissant Crust Philly Steak and Cheese in the two pack box. No illness has been reported in relation to the recall but USDA is worried that the products will cause sickness if not recalled.
