How Scary Movies Affect Us

When you think about scary movies you think about popups, screaming, and outrageous monsters, but have you ever thought about how it affects your brain? Watching a scary movie has its ups and downs. Scary pop ups in our minds as we lay down to sleep, and heart attacks for the faint of heart. Those are the bad things that we think about when we watch a scary movie or show.
There are a lot of ups to it. When you watch a scary movie it burns calories. A 90 minute film could burn you up to 180 calories. Pretty amazing that watching a movie can make you lose weight. It can make us more alert and have are adrenaline pumping. The immune system will become stronger as your body relaxes after 30 minutes of a scary movie. Scary movies are eventful and harmful but as people look up on them you will notice that watching a scary movie is more helpful than harmful. As humans we love the feeling of fear that they give us. Even when you don’t like scary movies you like the adrenaline rush that it gives you. Whether you’re at home alone or have friends over scary movies are a great choice in movie genres and will make any night fun.
