Is School Making Kids Lazy?

Wake up, shower, get dressed, and then sit in a classroom for the majority of the day. That’s the schedule for the average teenager. Learning is different for everyone, female or male.
Yet, both genders are affected in the same way. For most kids, sitting in a classroom for six hours isn’t the type of learning they need. Commonly, it is said that the present generation is often lazy and fails to complete tasks given to them. However, is that really their fault? It’s a constant debate between adults and young teens. From a teens viewpoint the schools are more to blame. From elementary school and up, students spend their time in a classroom listening to boring lectures from multiple teachers. The belief of most students however, is that if we were taught in more of an interactive way, maybe students would have more motivation to get things done. “Have learning be more hands on. High school should be interesting, and students should have a choice on how they’re taught, depending on what they want to do with their future.” stated junior, Travis D. Having other options like hands on learning, field trips or other alternatives would be the best way to help kids out.
