The Lake City Choir Department is putting on their last concert of the year: creative concert!
This concert is a medley of all different choirs coming together and performing for one last time. All of the choirs will be performing, including Wolf Pack, Jazz Choir, Concert Choir, Treble Choir, Mixed Choir, and Women’s Choir. There will also be a number of people performing solo, and ensembles in between concert performances, although the number of solos and ensembles has yet to be determined.
This concert is almost entirely student-directed. Choreography of the dance numbers is being handled entirely by the students, as well as most of the music and song choices.
Right now the students are working on, and perfecting, the choreography for each of the numbers that will be performed.
It’s safe to say that the students are excited for this concert. When asked what she was looking forward to most, sophomore Bailey C. said, “I’m really excited for Mamma Mia, because it’s going to be really exciting and I’m soloing in it, so I’m really happy! I’m really excited for Phantom of the Opera that Concert Choir is doing too.” Each choir will be performing a different number with different choreography. Some of last year’s numbers were “Jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri and “Footloose.”
This concert will be on Thursday, May 29th at 7pm in the Auditorium. Admission is entirely free and is open to the public, so bring a friend and come support the Lake City Choir Department!
