There are athletic scholarships which help the athletes with their sports careers. There are academic scholarships, also known as merit scholarships, that can help you if you get exceedingly high grades and test scores. These scholarships are the most handed out to students across the country. Whatever it is that you are interested in or a part of in your school, there’s a really good chance that there is a scholarship out there for you in that category.

In order to receive financial aid, you must first apply for the FAFSA. The FAFSA stands for The Free Application For Federal Student Aid. According to the student aid website, Federal Student Aid is the largest provider of student financial aid in the nation. They have helped well over 13 million students each year by providing over $150 billion in federal grants, loans, and work-study funds. After you have filled out your FAFSA application, your results will determine what financial aid options you are eligible for.

To learn more about scholarships, the different types of financial aid that are available, the FAFSA, the application process, and more, join us at Coeur d’Alene High School in the auditorium tonight, December 4th at 6:00 p.m. for Financial Aid Night! “I’m really looking forward to getting more information on the processes I’ll be going through when I start applying for colleges,” says 11th grader Maddie Snyders.
