Will the Seahawks repeat a Super Bowl Victory?
January 12, 2015
After their win at Super Bowl 48, The Seahawks went into the 2014 regular season. Towards the middle of the season, the defense wasn’t playing up to par and the offense was making a lot of mistakes. After their Week 11 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, many critics were doubting the Seahawks would return to the playoffs, let alone the Super Bowl.
Those doubts are now gone.
Since their loss to the Chiefs, Seattle has gone on a six-game winning streak finishing every game in a dominating fashion. Week 11 was their last loss of the season. The Seahawks crushed the division rival Cardinals, 49ers, and Rams and clinched the number one seed in the NFC as well as a guaranteed playoff berth. To all critics’ surprise, the Seahawks are once again Super Bowl favorites.
This weekend, the Seahawks will face off against the Carolina Panthers in their first playoff game. Since it is a home game, Seattle is expected to win. If they do, they will play either the Green Bay Packers or the Dallas Cowboys for the Conference Championship. If they win that game, the Seattle Seahawks have a chance be back-to-back Super Bowl Champions. This incredible feat has only been achieved by eight other teams before. If the Seattle Seahawks can pull this off, they will be known as one of the great teams of NFL history.
