What Motivates You?

How are you motivated every day? What gets you out of bed every morning? People need motivation to do everything throughout the day like going to school, going to work, working out, eating healthy, going to extracurriculars and even fun things like going out with friends. There are many things that motivate people to do their daily activities.
One element that motivates people is achievement. Anytime something important gets done and done well, there is a sense of achievement that people feel. This motivates adults and teens to do well in school, at work, or in any sport. Another thing that motivates people is the work itself. If a student likes a specific subject, they will most likely do well in that class and the same thing goes for a job. If someone likes the job they have, they will most likely do that job well.
Something else that motivates people everyday and is a good motivator for anyone struggling to be motivated is recognition and companionship. When someone does something well, they will get recognition and praise for it. For example, if a student studies hard for a test, more often than not, they will get a good grade on the test, and therefore, a higher grade in the class. If an adult or a teenager does well at work, they can get promoted, and therefore make more money.

Motivation is an important thing to help get things done throughout life. It is what drives people to do their best work and try their hardest. Gracie Lassiter, a sophomore at Lake City, says, “When I go to cheer practice, I have to motivate myself to do all of the conditioning, tumbling and stunts with all my strength and to put all that I’ve got into it because if I don’t, I fail.
