Valentine’s Day is all about love, and for high school students here at Lake City, they’re showing their affection through the French Club’s candy-grams. The French Club was selling flowers, balloons, cards, candy, and cookies, to be delivered during period B7 on February 12th.

It was really cool seeing all the other students get valentines and watching their faces light up.”

Every kid who received one of these special gifts today had a look of joy and amazement on their face, especially Bekah Zufelt, a student here at Lake City. Bekah got what she said to be the best valentine she had ever received thanks to the French Club. She also said, “It was really cool seeing all the other students get valentines and watching their faces light up.”  When I asked Bekah what she thought of the whole idea of the candy-grams and everything the French Club was selling she replied with, “I think the French Club had really cool things to buy, and I really like how it could be anonymous because if you wanted to send it as a joke or just didn’t want them to know who it came from.“ Altogether, Bekah really enjoyed the candy-grams, and hopes the French Club continues to do them for years in the future.

The money the French Club made selling candy-grams is going towards the school trip to France in 2017.
