Spring Sports Have Sprouted

Kim Cook, Sports Editor

All spring sports have officially started and it’s not too late to sign up.  The sports we have lined up for this spring season is baseball, softball, lacrosse, track, golf, and tennis. These sports all have a good-looking season coming up and it’s going to be fun for everyone.  All teams have already had their tryouts and have determined who is on junior varsity and who is on varsity. Some sports’ games in a week and others start in two weeks. Wherever your sport stars, be ready; this year is going to be a season full of wins.

This is my last year of softball, I’m a senior and after my last game its going to be hard to say goodbye to the girls and the rest of my friends.”

— Katelyn Murphy

For many of the students here at Lake City, this will be their last year of high school sports. Senior Katelyn Murphy said, “This is my last year of softball, I’m a senior and after my last game its going to be hard to say goodbye to the girls and the rest of my friends.” Seniors are the leaders and the underclassmen look up to them much of the time.  Even though it is the last year for seniors, and most will be going onto college, they want to put their best foot forward and make it a good last season of swinging the bat, hitting the tennis ball, running that last lap, teeing off the last time and tossing a lacrosse ball back and forth.
