Fun Summer Activities in Coeur d’Alene!
May 22, 2018
Some people that live in Coeur d’ Alene say that there isn’t really anything to do here in the summer, but there are a bunch of things you can do if you are up for it. Most people automatically go to the beautiful Coeur d’Alene lake.
Coeur d’Alene has a beautiful lake that you can swim and boat in. You can go to the lake with a couple of friends and have some fun. Some things you could do are swim, go fishing, go to Tubbs and jump off rocks and go boating. During the summer it’s way too hot to not go to the beach or out on the boat. These activities will be fun and are a great way to cool down during those hot summer days. If you want to be outside but it’s a little too chilly for the lake then you can hike Tubbs hill or go to the McEuen Park and hang out there. Timberline Adventures is a Zip-lining tour of Coeur d’Alene and it’s a great way to hang out with your friends and family that’s outdoors. Timberline Adventures would make a great day soaring through the sky over the trees, feeling the breeze in your face is an amazing feeling during the summer.
If you’re not much of an outdoor person, recently downtown has a new attraction called an “Escape Room.” You can go inside, cool down and play the game that makes you think about how to get out before your time is up. If that doesn’t sound fun then right next door to the Escape Room is the shops and the resort. In the resort you can go and walk around the hotel and maybe go to dockside to eat one of their famously known ice cream Gooeys.
When people from Coeur d‘Alene say there’s nothing to do it’s probably because they have already done all of this, or they have never thought of these things to do. Lindsay Moss, a freshman says, “Sometimes Coeur d’Alene can be a boring place, but when you are with the right people then it makes downtown so much more fun.”
