Childrens Village- LCHS helping the community

This year, many families in the communities need help this holiday season. That’s why Children’s Village is out there to make a difference. Children’s Village is a local organization that provides shelter for children and parents at risk in the community, provides health assessments, and provides transportation for many in the community who need it. Every year, our own Mr. Turrell makes a list of children from Children’s Village in the ages of ages 2-16 who are less than fortunate this holiday season and what they have requested that they want for Christmas. He challenges students to either bring in the money needed to obtain the items, or to bring in the items themselves. He then donates any profits from the students to Children’s Village so they can give it to the kids in need. It’s always a good time to spread some happiness and cheer to those who need it most in our community, so make a donation to Children’s village and make someone’s Christmas a lot merrier this season.
